maybe this makes me a loser but i had to do it. i had a photoshoot with my snakes and all the pumpkins and gourds my boyfriend bought for me.
here’s a few of Mars
Some crappy cell photos from the Texas Reptile Expo (and a bonus sharpnose from the Snake Farm). Gotta love the hot show.
Really bizarro location this time. And there were lots of cosplayers milling around including a really crappy mascot minnie mouse, wtf??
Many small animals are abused and neglected daily due to the mindset of “just”. “It’s just a fish.” “It’s just a bird.” “It’s just a snake.” and so on.
It’s never just anything. It is your pet and your responsibility.
Even if you think you know what you’re doing, go out right now and research (research means reading 3-4 articles not made by large companies!) your small animal. If any of the following is true, you may be hurting your animal and you need to look into how to fix the situation:
- Any fish in a small (~1 gallon) bowl.
- Hermit crabs on sand or with a screened top.
- Reptiles on calcium sand.
- Feeding your bird an all seed diet.
- Your snake always has flakey skin sheds (ergo it doesn’t come off cleanly).
- Rats with a large mesh wire bottom on their cage.
- And many others!
Local news posted a story on their FaceBook about a rattlesnake that got killed because it was on school grounds and the comments were pretty great
HOW COOL IS THIS?!?
I took my male tiger het amel retic Caesar to the vet today; as he had a slight prolapse and was a lil constipated last week. It’s all completely cleared and he’s fine. They were really impressed with his health!
The vets emailed me the x-ray. :3
This is so cool!! I love x-rays in general, but seeing an x-ray of myself or a pet is always really interesting (and a just little unsettling). Glad Caesar is well again!
